It all started when Shefik and Rebecca met and realised they had a similar vision, passion and complimentary skills…Lido Island is about working as a collective with bright, savvy and super talented folk on awesome change-making projects. It’s a place we all want to be while we share and collaborate with others. We started with the name Lido - the island part draws on Margaret Wheatley’s pertinent words:
“Who do you choose to be for this time? Are you willing to use whatever power and influence you have to create islands of sanity that evoke and rely on our best human qualities to create, produce, and persevere?”
So we work to create an experience that is something of an island, a holding space to refresh, reinvigorate and reimagine. We ensure you don’t feel lost at sea.

My purpose is to use my creativity to lead, inspire, enable and empower others for a better world. I love working collaboratively and adaptively to navigate complex challenges.
With 20 plus years experience in human centred design and engagement working in executive and engagement roles across the Health, NGO and Tech landscape - I have developed and honed my passion for working with groups to create change at the system level, through co-design, collaboration, coaching, and facilitation. true satisfaction comes from enabling and empowering others to be their best and do great work together.
As a big picture system thinker, I seek to inspire, develop and lead sustainable business approaches through the delivery of innovative and creative projects that improve the quality of our engagement, the environments we inhabit and the very fabric of our community.
I should perhaps add that I am a creative at heart, I draw and paint - but also a grounded pragmatist with strong commercial acumen, and it is at the intersection of the creative and business worlds that I like to play!

With over 25 years experience as an innovative entrepreneur and customer experience expert, I have been fortunate to be in a position to lead digital transformation and influence the growth of tech innovation and user/customer experience both in Australia and overseas. I have a proven track record delivering digital strategies that drive clients to success.
I am a passionate design facilitator, and love exploring the problem space through collaborative practices and developing insights and strategy that drive business development and impact.
As a busy Dad and partner, I still prioritise time for fitness, hiking and meditation.
